Up the Hill Gang summits Mt. Bonete

Howdy folks!

Danny and Rodrigo here checking in for the Up the Hill Gang here on Aconcagua. Today we had a successful acclimatization climb to the top of Mt. Bonete at 16,732 feet. It was a real test to see how the team would do at altitudes above basecamp, and everyone did very well. This evening the basecamp staff cooked up a delicious BBQ, and everyone is excited about carrying gear and food up to Canada Camp I tomorrow. This carry to camp I is also a part of the acclimatization process of climbing high and sleeping low.

I wanted to mention real quick that half of the members of our climb are climbing to raise money for Clean Water Climb, an organization that works to bring clean water to the people of Malawi. You can check it out at https://www.cleanwaterclimb.net/south-america/

Well, we divided up loads to carry up for tomorrow, and everyone has got their bags packed and are ready to get up on the mountain tomorrow. Check back tomorrow to see how it went! Bye for now!
